Jeff Giacchetti Joins EarthQuake as Account Executive; Will Spearhead Agency’s Sports Initiative

NEW YORK, Oct. 14, 2003– EarthQuake Media, an integrated media solutions agency, announced today that Jeff Giacchetti has joined the firm as account services executive. In this newly-created position, Giacchetti will spearhead EarthQuake’s new-business initiative and account management activity in the sports category.

Robert Davidman, chairman and chief executive officer of EarthQuake, said: “Jeff brings to our agency a diverse media background, with special emphasis in sports marketing. His experience in helping sports accounts build brand awareness and market share will be attractive to sports-related advertisers looking for creative thinking and results.”

Giacchetti joins EarthQuake from VNU Business Marketing, New York, where he developed and managed advertising and marketing campaigns for accounts such as Reebok, Benetton, Skechers, Major League Baseball and the National Football League. An account manager, his responsibilities included market research and analysis and interpretation, strategic media planning and buying, budget management, advertising and promotions, public relations and trade relations. He also managed interactive marketing projects for the VNU Sports Group web site, www.sgb.com, as well as for clients’ campaigns.

Before joining VNU in 1998, Giacchetti was an account executive/media buyer for TAM Communications, Stamford, CT, where he managed marketing production, direction and development of the company’s legal accounts. He also served as a marketing assistant at Tax Dr. Financial Services, New York.

Giacchetti earned a bachelor’s degree from Fordham University, Bronx, New York.
