Media Analyst
Function:
Develops, evaluates, and advises on media plans best suited to meet established client requirements, budget, and objectives. Executes media plans and buying responsibilities on all types of media, as required by client need.
Reports into Media Supervisor
Responsibilities:
• Develops media plans and buy authorizations, then executes or develops client’s media criteria for other buyers.
• Assures accuracy of media documentation, i.e., contracts, analyses of avail requests, make-good approvals, variance reconciliations, post-buy analyses, input sheets, accounts books maintenance, cost estimates, etc.
• Requests/negotiates rates with stations/media representatives.
• Monitors performance of all media and develops rationale explaining results for clients.
• Maintains close contact with media representatives to keep abreast of current date pertaining to their properties, as well as the markets they serve.
Measures of Accountability:
• Proof of advertising performance is reflected in accountability reports submitted by various media for our clients’ campaigns.
• Assigned programs and projects are completed on time.
• Relationships with media supervisor and account team are harmonious and productive.
• Clients make progress toward the achievement of their objectives and recognize media’s contribution to the overall plan.
