Kidz Bop
Case Study: Kidz Bop
Client: KidzBop.com
Media Used: Internet Marketing
Objective:
The primary emphasis was to attract tweens with a slight skew towards girls. The campaign’s objectives were to increase visitor traffic, new registrations, and most importantly, the number of video uploads.
The Challenge:
Kidzbop.com was formerly an ecommerce site. KidzBop.com re-launched as an online destination for Kids 6-11. The site emphasizes music, pop culture and games. The site must be portrayed as safe for kids so that parents will approve.
The Solution:
We utilized two different tactics to achieve our goals: Site Specific and ad Network. Disney.com is the #1 ranked family destination online and has the largest reach against Kids 6-11. We also created two display networks on Google. The first targeted general kid friendly sites and the second targeted specific Harry Potter fan sites. The site re-launch coincided with the release of the final Harry Potter book.
The Results:
In the first two weeks, traffic quadrupled on Kidzbop.com. There were more than 1.3 million video streams by 400,000 unique users. For the entire month of July – it’s first in operation, Kidzbop.com had 4 million video streams and 650,000 unique visitors. To put that into perspective, we had been tasked to double uniques from 100,000 to 200,000 and double users from 160,000 to 320,000. A wildly successful promotion!
